What is a city and how do our children perceive it? How can a city work without a city hall, where council meetings take place in public space and there’s more than one mayor because it’s stupid if one person gets to decide everything? A city whose courts are called “care departments”, where there’s a detective’s office instead of the police, which is also a dating service. Children planned their city for a year, built it for six weeks and then lived in it. Their parents had to go to parent-garden.

Was ist Stadt und wie sehen sie unsere Kinder? Wie kann eine Stadt ohne Rathaus funktionieren, wo Ratsversammlungen im öffentlichen Raum stattfinden, in der es mehrere Bürgermeister gibt, weil es doch doof ist, wenn nur einer das Sagen hat? Eine Stadt, in der das Gericht „Sorgenamt“ heißt, in der es statt der Polizei ein Detektivbüro gibt, das gleichzeitig Partnervermittlung ist. Ein Jahr lang planten Kinder ihre Stadt, bauten sie dann für sechs Wochen auf und lebten darin. Eltern mussten in den Elterngarten.
